Pacca Student Humanitarian Project 2008
SHP is an amazing project benefiting both the children of the Andes and the American students wjho participate. VCF will be visiting US schools earlier this year to collect more school supplies. This early visit will give the US students more time to prepare for their visit to Peru if they choose to join us.
We plan to depart for Peru on Aprl 18, returning on April 26. Any middle school age and up wishing to join our journey is welcome, with or without a parent.
This year we will also be delivering supplies to our new village of Paruru. It will be the first VCF SHP trip to Paruru so it will be very exciting.
We will again deliver supplies to our VCF village of Pacca. This will be our fifth year delivering supplies to the 300 students of Pacca.
In addition to our SHP work of distributing school supplies, the US students will meet local indigenous healers learning about the ways of the Inca. We will visit many sacred Inca sites, possibly climb an Andean mountain, maybe mountain bike in the Andes or even go white water rafting in the waters of the Andes!
