Q'ero Alpaca Project
The Alpaca Project, which began in 1995, funds the purchase, distribution and application of internal and external parasitic medicine for llama and alpaca in the Q’ero villages.
The project helps rebuild both the llama and alpaca wool quality and production thus improving the overall economy in these villages. The project also boosts the animals’ reproduction rate and increases the quality of the meat, improving the protein source of the village.
